The main advantage of MovableType vs. WordPress is, that MT can easily handle mutliple blogs in one installation. If you have a few projects going on, this makes maintaining your installations a lot easier.

The second step at ScottyLabs, my internet project repository, was installing a theme that prominently features the WordPress categories on the homepage. Arthemia from Michael Jubel. Categories work as sub-blogs, that have a distinct distance to each other.

That means it’s easy to link to one category (e.g. lis.to) and just show the relevant entries. But once an interested individual is surfing the site it’s also easy to check out the other projects and learn about them. The Analytics details show it works great!
